One think I forgot to mention is that my method generates a ton of miscellaneous XML data in the notes section of the contacts. Haven't figured out how to bulk edit those out yet. I've already owned an iPhone, and I use this iPhone contacts backup program to help me backup both iPhone contacts and contacts photos to my computer.
