Scripting Errors after Virus with Macafee Firewall : Unsolved
I’m getting lots of errors with mcafee personal firewall. I get this on boot:
An error has occured in the script on this page.
Line: 944
Char: 3
Error: Object doesn’t support this property or method:
‘m_objSubMgr.GetSubInfo’
Code: 0
URL: mcp://C:\PROGRA~1\McAfee.com\Agent\RegWizUl.dll:default.htm
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
I read on this page that I should try running regsvr32 scrrun.dll and try installing Windows Script 5.6 for Windows XP and Windows 2000, but I’m still having problems.
Dreamweaver and other apps are having javscript problems as well. Still unsolved. More later.

Update: This is a common issue for mcafee, which has a page about it here. They have you run a batch file that is supposed to fix internet explorer registry and scripting issues. Unfortunately it still did not fix my problem.

Have you solved your problem as yet? I have the identical problem. I have tried everything; I have contacted McAfee tech support on four occasions and cannot resolve this problem. I deleted an older version of McAfee and used a cd version that had two licences. I had no problem with my new computer. Any info you could supply would be grateful.
Did you resolve your issue? I am having the same problem and have tried everything except reinstalling IE.
I have not. I too have it installed on two computers and one runs it fine and the other will not install it no matter how many times I tried.
My PC with the problem is actually dead now with a hardware problem. I will reply when I can get it booting again.
I was reviewing the Microsoft Help site and it would appear that we have corrupt files on the script engine of our operating systems. If you are using anything but XP ( which I am ) you can overwright your script engine to rectify script errors; they provide a link to the appropriate software download site. In the case of XP you have to basically format your entire system and start from scratch. I have reformatted my 98 system a few times but have not tried XP as yet. It it very time consuming getting everything set up again. I may try it in the next few weeks and will let you know how I make out.
