I was reviewing the Microsoft Help site and it would appear that we have corrupt files on the script engine of our operating systems. If you are using anything but XP ( which I am ) you can overwright your script engine to rectify script errors; they provide a link to the appropriate software download site. In the case of XP you have to basically format your entire system and start from scratch. I have reformatted my 98 system a few times but have not tried XP as yet. It it very time consuming getting everything set up again. I may try it in the next few weeks and will let you know how I make out.

I have not. I too have it installed on two computers and one runs it fine and the other will not install it no matter how many times I tried.
My PC with the problem is actually dead now with a hardware problem. I will reply when I can get it booting again.

Have you solved your problem as yet? I have the identical problem. I have tried everything; I have contacted McAfee tech support on four occasions and cannot resolve this problem. I deleted an older version of McAfee and used a cd version that had two licences. I had no problem with my new computer. Any info you could supply would be grateful.
